Children’s Ministry

"These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." - Deuteronomy 6:6-7

What do you have for my kids?

We believe parents are the primary source of influence for their children. While you are more than welcome to keep your children in the service with you, we take very seriously the privilege of supporting that influence with our children's ministry classes.

Our classes are designed to:

- Highlight and focus on foundational and reliable truths of God as seen in Scripture.

- Support the development of specific spiritual milestones (Please insert milestone link here to direct them right to that page)

- Provide a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment

Your first visit:

Going to a new place can feel daunting. We want to help lessen that for you. Here's what to expect when visiting Living Faith for the first time:

First, find the area marked for check-in. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room. Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone): parent/guardian name(s), child's name, child's birthdate, home address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children.

How check-in works:

After we enter your family information into our system, we will print your child a name tag and special sticker that has a matching number to your child’s name tag. You will keep that sticker and use it to check out your child at the end of the service. After check in is done, feel free to grab a cup of coffee, a donut hole, and a bulletin and relax knowing your kids are being cared for and taught about Jesus.

What is my child needs me?

If for some reason your child needs you during the service, we will flash the number on your sticker on the screens. If this happens, don’t panic. Just calmly head toward the sound booth and one of our Children’s Ministry leaders will explain the situation and help you get to your child as quickly as possible.

Kids Classes

0-2 Year Olds

We believe prayer and blessing children at this age can have profound impact on them. Teams of loving people will pray for your child and speak foundational truths of God to them while parents attend the church service. Through singing and interactive lesson time, the children learn to watch the leader and engage in learning.

2-3 Years Old

In this class, teams of people provide a loving atmosphere where the children can taste how good it can be to follow leaders and obey. Through engaging lessons and creativity, they learn character traits of God: He is good. He can do anything. He never changes…and more!

4-5 yEArS old

A team of watchful shepherds will provide a loving atmosphere where children learn to love learning more about who God is through lessons, small group sharing time and worship. They learn both Old Testament and New Testament accounts of what God is like.

1St-2ND Grade

A team of caring adults and youth will look to show children that getting to know God and His ways can be a fun thing. Through activities like worship, praying with others, studying and memorizing Scripture, our kids are discovering more of who God is.

3rd-5th Grade

As our kids grow bigger and taller, they also grow in their ability learn more about God. Through small group discussions, journaling, bible study, Scripture memorization and prayer, they are able to understand more about how God is at work in and around their lives. By this age, we value that our students are beginning to articulate their Gospel story and interact with how God is changing their heart to discover and treasure Jesus!

Kids on mission

Seeing God move through His people to reach the world, kids have a role to play in that mission. During “Kids on a Mission” Sunday, they will learn about local and global ministries and have chances to actively learn through skits and guest speakers and serve through activities and prayer, equipping them to live on mission.

Children’s Ministry Partners

JOIN THE TEAM

Forming healthy households is one of our core values. To do that well, we be believe that families and churches will be better through partnering together. Children's Ministry workers are ordinary people with a desire to see the next generation rise to know and love Jesus! By leading with their words and lives, they build relationships with the children and partner with the parents to guide children in understanding their dependence on God and His love for them.

  • Do you see the importance of children in the next generation knowing and loving Jesus?

  • Is that something you could get excited about?

  • If so, we'd love to hear from you- find out how you can become part of the team!

Please fill out the form below and download the additional forms needed to volunteer. Once the forms are completed, send them to Sarah Bates, the Early Children's Ministry Coordinator. We look forward to hearing from you!
