When you consider the rewarding blessing of the Day of the Lord, what hope does it bring to you?

1) What is God teaching you about faith through Hezekiah?
2) Your “cry of faith” may be different in form or context than Hezekiah’s but can you tell a story about a time where you exercised faith?
3) In 2 Chronicles 32:1-23 Hezekiah had to fight against the lies and manipulation of Sennacherib’s verbal warfare against God. What are some lies and manipulations against God that you fight against?

1. The teaching this week explained the three words in Psalm 51:1-2 that describe our natural condition. Talk about times in your life when your “moral compass” seemed broken (Iniquity), or you found yourself too weak to do what was right (Sin), or even knowing what God wanted you to do, you rebelled (Transgression).
2. The teaching this week highlighted three types of “works of the law.” Can you identify with any of them? What “works” in your life do you tend to look to in order to feel guilt-free and clean before God?

2. Pray for God to continue working in the connections you were made. Share any ways you think God would have you follow up.
Each year we prioritize being the church out in the streets rather than inside four walls. Taste of Mission Sunday is an opportunity to get a “taste” of what living on mission is like. We take a Sunday morning to visit various people and projects in our community who otherwise we’d usually not meet. Ask around for the next Taste of Mission Sunday coming up, or ask about what we’ve done in the past. We are sure the next time you won’t want to miss it!
