Are You expecting?

“For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:13-14

Expecting a child is arguably the most exciting and most terrifying time of a woman’s life. It is a time of great joy and anticipation, self-doubt and anxiety. It is a time when a woman needs support more than any other. The goal of the New Moms Ministry is to do just that.

• First, we commit to prayer. We pray for these wonderful ladies on a regular basis. We pray for physical and mental health. We pray for their journey with Jesus to grow and strengthen. We pray that they would feel loved and cherished as a daughter of Christ perfectly chosen to be a mother to this child.

• Second, we connect. We reach out to our New Moms regularly throughout their pregnancy to let them know we are here for them and praying for them. We want them to feel loved and encouraged. For a mom who is having a bad day, even a simple text can drastically change her day.

• Third, the LFA New Moms Ministry blesses practically. Once the new love arrives, we coordinate meals for the family. We want to include other members of the particular family’s household in the opportunity to bless them. The LFA New Moms Ministry is another opportunity to bless and serve others, to be the hands and feet of Jesus as we come together to raise up the next generation of God’s warriors.
