Comunidad de esperanza

a Living Faith Alliance Church ministry, serving the community of Bridgeton NJ

Living Faith Alliance Church partnered with local organizations, such as Revive South Jersey and Bridgeton Police Athletic League, to serve the Bridgeton immigrant community.

We want to bring the love of Jesus to these families by serving their children, at the heart of the neighborhood.

This has become very clear…

  • We are to serve the immigrant community of Bridgeton.

  • We are to serve through their children.

  • We are to do it consistently

  • We are to partner with local organizations.

  • We are to form meaningful relationships that result in a discipleship movement, both within the team and toward the community.

  • We are to form Comunidad de esperanza’s next generation of leaders.

Partnering with REVIVE SJ in a community activity

Break the barrier.

Historically, language barriers have been in the way of English-speaking churches to reach the immigrant community.

Research done in the subject has showed that the vast majority of the immigrant children act as the connector between their parents and their new country.

So…what are our next goals?

  • FROM WEEKLY TO DAILY

We want to expand the children activities from a weekly kids club to a daily interaction that constantly serves their needs.

Homework help, music and arts, Bible teaching, service opportunities, English conversation club for their parents.

IN SHORT… Expanding what we do in one day to every weekday.

In our research of the community, we found that the 1st generation immigrant-parents feel like they are doing all there is to do for their kids by sending them to school.

Parents will mostly support activities that don’t distract them from work.

We want to help in making a connection between their children wholesome growth and their family wellbeing, through Jesus’ love.

FROM IN-HOUSE TO IN-COMMUNITY

We have been inviting kids to come to Revive South Jersey’s location, and it has served its purpose well, but now is the time we GO where the kids spend most of their time, like the local schools or local parks.
