Global Missions Is On the Move!
That’s right! The Holy Spirit is always at work in our world (John 16:8-11) and because He has not stopped working the Bride of Christ is always invited to join in what He is doing. So as we approach the end of 2022 I would like to share with you several opportunities available to us to partner globally.
Beginning with our region, we will have Elijah and Ashly Crouch share with us this Sunday, November 20th, about their ministry and the ways we can continue partnering with them in Brooklyn, NY. So come prepared this Sunday to hear their interview and engage them in person. I believe we can learn from the Crouches about ways in which we too can engage our community as we are compelled by God’s love to move towards them.
As we think more broadly, perhaps some of you have been prompted to support Chris Wood and his family and their ministry in particular. Chris was recently with us as one who represents God’ work in North Central Asia. To give directly to them feel free to write “Wood family” in the memo portion of you check or envelope. At the present time this specific option is not available online or in the church app.
45% of very dollar given via the app or online will go towards the teams serving in North Central Asia.
Moving a bit closer we have the Saavedras in Zacatecas, Mexico. Currently the Saavedras are promoting giving towards a project that involves purchasing uniforms for about 300 children involved in soccer. The Saavedras have an outreach bridge with those soccer teams and God is opening opportunities to share the love of God through those relationships. To give directly to this project feel free to write “Soccer in Mexico” in the memo portion of you check or envelope.
May I also encourage you to pray for our different partners? Here is a list of them:
India Team (currently in India: Dot, Brian, Inga, Sandra, and Jordan).
Zacatecas, Mexico: Carlos, Lily, Carly, Elia, Lucas, and Lila.
North Central Asia: several teams currently serving there including Leo & Rene, Chris and family among others.
North Africa: our very own Melody Mathie.
Steve and Wendy Lovell, formerly in Russia, being relocated to Bulgaria.
Brooklyn, NY: Elijah and Ashly Crouch.
Philadelphia: Gino Curcuruto.
Lastly, we have some great news to share with those interested in joining a missions trip!!! Our desire is to reactivate mission trips in 2023. We are currently exploring a few possible places such us Mexico, Puerto Rico, India, North Central Asia, refugees in USA, Native Americans, and A summer opportunity in Brooklyn, NY. At this point we are gathering a list of potential people interested. If you would like us to add your name to the list please click here. We will be following up with you.
Thank you for being a faithful partner, through your giving, through your engagement, and through your prayer support.
Sincerely, Pastor Diego
