Going Backward to Move Forward

Transient

Following Jesus isn’t as simple as moving from point A to point B in a straight line. In fact, most Christians I’ve talked with who are serious about following Jesus describe their life more like a spiral, continually moving forward but only by repeatedly touching the same areas over and over again. There are times the only way to get ahead is by going backward.

That’s why Celebrate Recovery, counseling and healing prayer are such essential parts of what happens at LFA. Pretty much all of us who are willing to look under the surface of our life will find a type of ball and chain attached to our ankle — trying to immobilize us when Jesus is calling us to follow. That bondage has a past, a history that makes it seemingly invincible.

If you want to move forward, maybe it’s time to go backward. Try Celebrate Recovery, or make an appointment with one of our counselors. Your future may depend on it.
